I am tired, véi. Third self-hosted mail disaster in one year. First was IP reputation, den was blocklists, now my provider going to suspend me because "spam pattern" dat is just my newsletter going out to 200 people.
I tried Mailcow, Mail-in-a-Box, plain Postfix+Dovecot. All going to break in some way.
What actually works in 2025 without wanting to die kkkkk

IPv4 lease market for clean mail IP: $8-12/IP/month now, was $3 in 2022. Self-hosting mail is a wealth transfer from your sanity to blocklist operators.
1. Self-hosted mail requires: clean /24 minimum, rDNS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, feedback loops with Microsoft and Google
2. Most residential and VPS IPs are pre-tainted on Spamhaus PBL
3. Alternative: transactional via SMTP relay (Postmark, Mailgun tier), marketing via dedicated platform
Practical recommendation: RackNerd Email has surprising deliverability for the price. Not self-hosted, but they use dedicated IPs per tenant and publish clear routing policies. I migrated three clients in Q3 2025 with zero deliverability issues.

I use this for two year now. Will check every morning. No problem.

Result clean. Uptime 99.97% in my monitoring.
