What do you use for documentation when you have 40 cheap servers?

The kind with lines.

This is the most PacketpunkUma thing I have ever read that I did not write. Respect.

I am going to try NetBox. Not because I want to. Because I have a server in Frankfurt I cannot account for and my provider thinks I am insane when I open tickets about "the loud one."

Following this thread because I am at 25 servers and feeling the spreadsheet pain. The "dont-touch" hostname method only works until you touch it. Then you learn why.

I went with NocoDB on top of my existing spreadsheet. Turned the Google Sheet into a database with a form view. Took two hours. Not NetBox but not 47 tabs either.

The cat would still knock over the coffee though.

Has anyone here actually paid for NetBox Cloud? The pricing page is one of those "contact us" situations which usually means "you cannot afford this."

NetBox is open source. Self-host or use the NetBox Labs hosted option. I self-host. The hosted pricing is enterprise territory, yes, but you do not need it for 40 servers. A $5 VPS runs the container stack fine.

The "contact us" fear is real though. I hate that page on every site.
