I am observing a CPU steal time graph from my HostHatch VPS and require clarification. The visualization shows periodic spikes to 45 percent steal, yet my application performance remains acceptable.
Key observations:
- Spikes correlate with 15-minute intervals, not workload
- Neighbor IP in same /24 shows similar pattern in reverse
- My steal drops when neighbor's rises
- No TOS violation on my end (Section 14.3, Acceptable Use)
I suspect a neighboring VM is abusive. How do others interpret this pattern? R.R.
