Travel is just collecting worse versions of your home setup
Please hear me out. You spend money to leave home where server is configured perfectly, to go to some airbnb where wifi is "guest" network with captive portal and help desk is kitchen table with wobbly leg. Why we do this? I am genuinely curious.
Isnt the point to see new places? I havent travelled much bc budget but I thought thats why people do it!

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much, yet I confess that whence I did journey to the far shores of Lisbon, I did ship mine own mechanical keyboard ahead by slow post, that I might not suffer the indignity of chiclet keys and mushy switches, wherefore the locals did marvel at my preparedness, though I myself did wonder whether such devotion to one's home setup doth render travel itself a hollow exercise, for if the keyboard must travel with thee, art thou truly travelling, or merely relocating thine office to warmer climes?
The ticket said: "User reports keyboard shipped to hotel, claims is 'business critical equipment', demands concierge sign for package at 3am."

I do this too. Going to Chiang Mai, I send keyboard first. Same same but different, my home setup is going to be better. No spaces needed for understanding. Same same but different.

In my country we say: home is where plug fits. I ship power strip and USB-C hub. Not keyboard, too heavy. Practical question: anyone use Vultr for mail forwarding gear? Need reliable to Singapore.
