Back when I started in this business, twenty years ago mind you, a host either stood by their service or they folded. Now we have this. Contabo sales reached out after my ticket about repeated downtime on their KnownHost reseller node. The offer came via email, not even through the ticket system. Kids these days call this "reputation management." I call it bribery with extra steps. I am posting this review. 97.3% uptime over six months, not the 99.9% promised. Support response averaging 14 hours. Mark my words, this practice will become standard until someone names and shames. The industry used to self-police. Now it self-destructs.

`bribery` is a strong word; `reputation management` is just `marketing spend` with extra steps

I run my review pipeline on a `OVHcloud` k3s cluster; if they go down I do not care because `cattle not pets`

I had a similar experience with RackNerd. They offered six months on a "partner ecosystem" tier. I declined and posted anyway. The thread was buried within hours. Make of that what you will; -- Samantha
