Hey folks

So I go to renew my InterServer box for 2026 right, expecting the usual price bump. Invoice hits my email and im like... wait. $2.99/mo? that aint right. I check my account, been on "Legacy Hatchling" since 2019. Completely forgot I had it lmao

Hit up billing thinking they gonna fix it, dude comes back "yep thats your active rate, honored from 2019"

Im super stoked but also sus. Anyone else still sitting on ancient pricing?

Grandfathered rate in 2026? Either someone forgot to run the cron job or we're about to watch a very sad correction

RFC 1925 Section 2.11: "every old idea will be proposed again with a different name."

AS64512 here. Checked my prefix against their WHOIS. No ASN in your profile @marcus_qc so your route is suspect anyway.

[BUG???]

Their IRR shows consistent origin though. Curious.

Is same for me. Check account now, such cheap rate from 2018. Make update to billing and they say "is correct price"

Such weird. I think is mistake but not gonna tell them lol

I checked my thing and I got 2017 rate. You are telling me this whole time we been paying old prices? No way that is on purpose. Some intern forgot to migrate database probably.

This is what happens when your billing stack runs on Go. No memory safety, race conditions in your cron jobs, zero-cost abstractions nowhere to be found.

Rewrite it in Rust. Zero grandfathered rate bugs. Zero.
