310 days late but this tracks with what I saw at Hostinger a couple years back. Their overnight crew was actually sharper than dayshift for hardware swaps.
Not really. Smaller shops sometimes run skeleton crews overnight because the ticket volume drops off a cliff. One good tech on a slow shift beats a tier-1 queue any day.
Did you ever name the provider, Jane? Curious if it's one of the usual suspects or someone newer.

Late to this but
Matches my experience with RackNerd on their mid-tier plan — had a borked SSL cert at 2am, chat picked up in under two minutes
That said I tried their "starter" plan for a side project and the same chat widget just dumped me to email, so tier absolutely matters
Curious if you were on a specific tier or if they've since changed things, this thread is old enough that policies might have shifted
