So I clicked "push to staging" (or was it pull from staging?) (the button was green, which in my experience (limited (very limited)) means "go ahead, what could go wrong")) and now my live WooCommerce has orders from june 2023 mixed with orders from this morning and (I am not making this up) a customer called asking why her order status says "test_test_final_v3_DONTUSE"
The plugin is WP Stage Sync Pro (or something, I deleted it already (mostly)) — hosted on Contabo shared, if that matters (it doesn't (they've been fine (surprisingly))))
Anyway. Database is "synced" both ways apparently? Which (who designed this) (seriously) seems like a feature not a bug in their changelog. "true bidirectional sync!!!" with three exclamation marks. I have three exclamation marks too but they're different ones.
Restoring from Hetzner backup now. Lost six hours of orders. Perkele to whoever wrote that sync logic.
