Hot take from my testing.

I moved five sites to the HostHatch. How to say... the Germany location. Then I put same sites on the KnownHost. The Amsterdam location.

Both behind the CloudFlare (yes, I know, not the host CDN).

Result? Within 5ms difference globally. The New York, the Tokyo, the Lagos. All same.

For BudgetHosting with CDN, the Server location matters less than the Network quality. The transit, the peering, the how to say... the last mile.

Random Thought: we overpay for « premium location » that CDN neutralizes anyway.

Interesting findings!

But before we all migrate blindly, did you test your restore? (Sorry, occupational hazard!)

My checklist for location testing:
- [ ] Baseline without CDN
- [ ] Baseline with CDN
- [ ] 3-2-1 rule on test data
- [ ] Multiple time-of-day samples

The 3-2-1 rule applies to experiments too! Three tests, two methods, one documented conclusion.

Your CDN-heavy finding is compelling if the test rigor holds up.
