Santiago VPS—my month surviving South American routing

Santiago VPS | Contabo Andean tier | grep logs | sort -u | wc -l

Week 1 | 3 outages | 47min total | traceroute dies at Arica
Week 2 | 2 outages | 89min total | fiber cut | blame map shows red line through Peru
Week 3 | 4 outages | 201min total | BGP flapping | my cron jobs weeping
Week 4 | 1 outage | 6min total | miracle | probably measurement error

The graphs don't lie | ping to São Paulo stable 35ms | ping to Santiago 120ms or timeout | South American routing is a pipeline full of sediment | cat brain | sed 's/stability/hope/g' | empty output

Migrating to OVHcloud Brazil | grep regret | /dev/null

My New York HostHatch box: $3/mo, 99.9% since March, ZERO cuts

Your loss is my routing table
