Ah yeah sorry for the late, been moving flats
S3 backend was Vultr's object store, the eu-central endpoint. No complaints really, slow first init but after that it's just quiet
Did you end up trying it
Their 512MB boxes seem even tighter on memory, wondering if the same GOGC trick holds or if I need to look at something else entirely.

Which restic version ended up working for you
And was the backend Vultr or someone else

Did this ever get tracked down for the S3 backend
I've been eyeing OVHcloud's object storage but the restic docs are vague on whether their signature version plays nice Also curious if you stuck with GOGC=20 long term or bumped it back up once the initial snapshot finished
