Six months ago I compared Contabo and InterServer on paper. Same price tier, both "AMD EPYC", both promised 1Gbps. I went with Contabo for the newer CPU generation, Munich vs Rome.
The hardware is fine. Both run stable. Power draw is what they claim, about 35W per node measured at the PDU level. No issues there.
But I have opened 7 tickets with Contabo and 4 with InterServer. Contabo averages 4 hours to first response. InterServer averages 22 hours. Yet InterServer closed 3 of 4 on first reply. Contabo needed 3+ back-and-forths on 5 of 7.
The real difference is not specs. It is who reads your ticket before answering.
