Porto here. I use OVHcloud VPS in Gravelines, monthly, no discount. The ping from Portugal is 35ms, good enough. I tried the annual once, 2019, same story as everyone, 30% use, guilt, renewal. Never again.
The discount is a loan you take from your future discipline. Most of us have bad credit.
This thread made me check my VPS. 2 years at RackNerd, annual, Los Angeles. CPU 4% average. I thought I was running plex, I am not, I moved plex to home server 6 months ago. This VPS does nothing. Nothing!

You will not. You will open the panel, see the "terminate service" button, hesitate, check this thread for encouragement, see someone posted something new, read it, forget why you opened the panel. I have done this. The ticket remains unfiled.

Has anyone actually successfully canceled an annual VPS mid-term and felt good after? Not refunded, just felt good about the decision? I need to know this is possible before I try.
