Have you ever actually read a hosting provider's full terms of service before purchasing?
Actually curious. I have read three in full: Contabo, Vultr (https://www.vultr.com), and RackNerd. The Vultr document references RFC 2142 for abuse contacts, which is actually correct, though their acceptable use policy actually contradicts section 4.2 of the same RFC.

I feel you, ira. I have tried reading a few for work and they are genuinely rough. Have you tried parsing one after a 12-hour shift? Your eyes just glaze over.
The "dumb" questions we get usually come from someone who skimmed the refund clause and missed the 14-day vs 30-day distinction. I get it. The docs are written to protect the provider, not educate the user.
WARNINGS: you NEED to read them. What if they log your ssh sessions? What if they can terminate for "excessive resource usage" with NO DEFINITION of excessive.
I read every TOS before I even create an account. Have fail2ban running before the first login. Read CloudCone's fully and found they reserve right to share data with unnamed "partners".
Three hosts? That person is either a legend or unemployed!
