We've all seen it. A "hot deal" thread where the OP's enthusiasm slightly exceeds what savings alone would justify. Then someone checks the URL structure and — surprise — tag=whosyourdaddy.
I used to work support elsewhere, but as a Contabo customer I appreciate when people disclose in the first paragraph of any community post. But this forum has no formal rule, and enforcement seems... inconsistent.
Simple poll:
- Always disclose, no exceptions
- Disclose only if asked directly
- Who cares, let people earn
- Ban affiliates entirely from deals-offers
I'm genuinely curious where this community lands. I've had to DM three users this quarter about ambiguous links. Awkward conversations. Would rather have a standard we all agree to.
