Your "GO GO GO" just created a flash crowd.
For what it's worth, I was mid-checkout when the site 502'd. SPF/DKIM/DMARC on their notification domain was already sloppy—OVHcloud uses a shared IP with poor reputation, so their "instant alert" likely hit spam folders for anyone with strict filtering. The ones who got it first were probably Gmail users with relaxed DMARC policies.
Now the site's down and the stock's gone. Predictable.
Virtualization tax includes the website, apparently. OVHcloud runs OpenVZ on their storefront too—cgroups maxed, kernel panicked under load. Real dedi buyers deserve KVM or better. Their "1Gbps unmetered" is probably a soft limit at the switch level, not true unmetered.
OVHcloud? Shared IP for alerts? That explains the 502 then.
