Running the numbers on my dedicated box at OVHcloud. 50TB included, pushing ~80TB/month of Linux ISOs for a small mirror project.
- Cloudflare Pro-ish equivalent: ~$400/month at my volume
- OVHcloud overage: €10/TB = €300/month
- But wait—OVHcloud caps overage billing at €200.
So I'm paying $200 vs $400. The CDN defenders always say "but cache hit ratio!" but these are ISOs. People download once, maybe twice. No repeat traffic to cache.
Before everyone jumps in—yes, I know about egress optimization. Already tuned. Yes, I know about tiered caching. The math is the math.
