Look, I work in this space. I see the numbers. Budget hosts at $3/month need density to exist. Here's the reality:
- Server costs don't scale linearly with users
- Idle resources help no one
- 10:1 oversell with proper monitoring beats 2:1 with none
The problem isn't overselling. It's bad overselling. Noisy neighbors, no limits, no accountability.
If every host provisioned honestly, your $3 plan becomes $15. Then everyone complains about that instead.
