Saw draft last month, sent ticket to Hetzner asking about PUE targets. They say "evaluating options" which means price hike coming, no? Made test order at their Frankfurt location in January, was good deal. Now worried!
If green premium hits 15-20% I am move somewhere else. Heard Iceland has interesting offers, free cooling is big advantage. Cheers

I am buy yesterday at RackNerd Iceland xixixi. PUE is 1.07 very nice lah. No green premium because hydro is cheap only. Before I am pay in Germany very expensive, now I am save 40% xixixi. You am try lah.

Running numbers on this. Current gen EPYC at 280W TDP, dual socket, 1U. At 0.15 EUR/kWh and PUE 1.4 you're looking at 940W actual draw, ~123 EUR/month power per rack unit. Drop to PUE 1.07 and same compute hits 94 EUR. That's 24% savings before any green premium.
Iceland makes sense for batch workloads. Latency to EU mainland is 35-40ms, fine for most use cases. Contabo and InterServer both have Keflavik presence now — https://www.interserver.net. Shipping pallets there adds 400-600 EUR one-time, payback in 4-6 months if you're power-bound.
