I only carry camera on holiday now. Used to bring OTDR for "just in case" but airline security in region does not like. Now I just enjoy the view and fix it in post.
I mean Flickr still hosts ; my junction boxes are there since 2011 ; the interface it is a disaster now but the photos they load ;
My wife she still does not understand ; last month in Lyon I stopped for ten minutes at a beautiful telecom pillar ; orange color ; perfect corrosion pattern ; she walked ahead without me ;

Still waiting on that album link. You said Kyoto signals. I want to see the controller specs you mentioned. Not calling you a liar but 300 is a lot of traffic lights.
I have maybe forty photos of the Fibertel cabinets in Palermo and I thought that was excessive.

Those are everywhere in Buenos Aires. You could do three hundred easy if you walked Caballito to Belgrano. Not that interesting though. Same gray boxes, same stickers.
Now the old Antel stuff in Montevideo, that had character. Ceramic insulators on some of those poles. I have a dozen.

This is valid. In Zagreb the manhole covers still have the old Yugoslav foundry marks. I have a few shots for "documentation purposes" but honestly they are more interesting than our POP cable trays. We use standard Panduit, nothing to see.
The sunset thing happened again last week. Family at Plitvice, I am checking a remote hands photo of fiber bend radius.
Following this thread with interest. I have started photographing the Openreach cabinets around Glasgow since the FTTP rollout. The new ones are boring Huawei green but the old PCPs with multiple overlays of sticker and rust are proper industrial archaeology.
No Ampere though. Just a Pi 4 in a cupboard.

Not selling to this forum. The sales line is automatic in my signature block, I forgot it was there. Mods can remove if needed.
To clarify: the site survey was client work, the vacation photos are personal. The overlap is the problem. I see a beautiful redundant feed in a cathedral basement and I have to decide if it goes to the client folder or the holiday folder. Usually both. The NDA is why I will not name the city.
Amsterdam has some beautiful church-to-datacenter conversions. The cooling is always a nightmare but the cable runs through old stone are art. I toured one near Oude Kerk, could not photograph due to their rules, but the memory is strong.
The Hague has better modern infrastructure though. Less photogenic, more functional.
