Just returned from a site survey and reviewed my camera roll. Redundant feeds. N+1 power distribution. Enterprise-grade fiber runs in a municipal building overseas. I cannot disclose the exact location due to client NDAs, but the cable management was exceptional.

Does anyone else document infrastructure on vacation? My partner has stopped asking what I am photographing. For pricing on similar documentation services, please contact our sales team.

Oh this is me! Insane value in a well-routed Cat6 run! I have a whole album of Ampere-based edge deployments with cable porn that runs circles around anything x86.

My worst is traffic signals in Kyoto. Three hundred photos. No regrets. The signal controller specs were wild!

We have a similar collection from our POP builds though I personally prefer the landscape shots my family expects. Industry-standard to document cable entry points for upstream compliance. :)

I never admit fault for missing the sunset because I was checking strain relief. Our NOC has seen worse.

Altra Max Q80-30 in most of those shots. The 128-core density is what makes the cable density worth photographing. You get all that throughput and the power draw is low enough that the PSU cabling stays clean. Single-rail 48V DC setups, no messy redundant brick stacking.

The Kyoto signals were actually running on some ancient Hitachi gear with the most overbuilt relay racks I have ever seen. Not Ampere, obviously, but the cable dressing was military-grade.

This is the way. I have been pushing 48V at my Manchester colo for two years now. The reduction in copper alone made the photos less interesting but the bills more beautiful.

Still take the photos though. Old habit.
