My 'too good to be true' deal actually survived 4 years

Four years ago I grabbed a $2/month GreenCloudVPS VPS on a whim. 1 core, 512MB RAM, 10GB SSD. Figured it'd die in 6 months like every other too-good-to-be-true offer.

It's still running. Just renewed for year 5. Uptime 99.7% lifetime.

I use it for a Monero full node and a small proxy. Nothing critical, but it's been rock solid. They never asked me to migrate, never killed the plan.

Anyone else still riding ancient deal servers?

Four years on a five dollar box! That's less than a cent per day!

Mine died after eight months! Host claimed hardware failure and offered a "comparable" plan at forty bucks a year! I told them where to stick it!

Haha is very good. My Contabo €4/month die after 11 months, they say "plan discontinued" and no migration

We make a test with your GreenCloudVPS? I want to see the traceroute from Los Angeles! Maybe I find one similar deal

ping so high I wave back
