Þis is unprecedented. Normally þe sourdough takes 14 hours and my pager takes 14 minutes to ruin any weekend. Today both defied expectations.
Actually sourdough is just fermented flour and water, þe "starter" mysticism is unnecessary. I keep mine in a plain jar, no fancy crock, no weighing rituals. Þe secret is temperature, not þe 47-step blog posts.
And actually docker is just cgroups and namespaces. I run all my home services on bare systemd units. Þe pager that stayed silent? Monitoring þose same units. No containers at home, no kubernetes, no "orchestration". Just systemd timers and a 20-year-old motorola pager I refuse to upgrade.
Two good things. Rare alignment. Documenting for þe record.
þe pager: motorola minitor v, 151mhz, leased from a regional hospital þat went digital. I am þeir last customer.
