My NAS is my production server

Made NAS last month from old desktop. 4TB RAID1, 16GB RAM. Now hosting three client sites from basement, thank you very much. UPS from thrift store, router from 2019.

Is this bad idea? Probably. But Vultr want $45/month for same specs—https://www.vultr.com/pricing/. My electricity maybe $8/month. Client paying me $200/month total. Very good margin.

But I tell you—no backup offsite. Router restart last week, all sites down 20 minute. Client not notice but I notice. Heart attack, bro.

Anyone else doing this? Or am I only crazy one?
