My EPP code took 48 hours to arrive. Is this normal now?

Requested transfer from Hetzner to OVHcloud yesterday morning. Still no code. Their status page says "operational" but my ticket is unanswered. Is this the new standard? My $3 HostHatch VPS delivers faster than this. Last year at CloudCone it was instant. Starting to think I should judge registrars by EPP latency instead of price.

Whats an EPP code? Is that like a password? I just registered my first domain with Time4VPS last week and now im scared mine will take forever too. Sorry if dumb question

Did you check spam folder. I waited 3 days once and it was just sitting there in gmail spam the whole time. Now I whitelist every registrar before I request anything!

As a small business owner this is exactly why my customers cant reach me sometimes.. these delays cost real money.. I moved from Hetzner to InterServer last year and EPP took 4 hours.. not great but better than 48.. double spaces are my curse.. 'Sara's Crafts'

It is not normal.. it used to be instant.. now everyone is manual reviewing.. even Leaseweb made me wait 12 hours last month.. something changed industry-wide.. maybe regulations.. maybe staffing..

Hetzner status page says "operational" but ticket unanswered? That's not operational.

Which TLD? Some of the new gTLDs have weird EPP rules now

/dev/null: full of good ideas
