The disk numbers are good for the price but that ping is terrible. 112ms minimum to where? If the DC is Los Angeles and you are in Singapore, that is physics, not a complaint against CloudCone.
To my home connection in Singapore, testing from my apartment. CloudCone only has Los Angeles, so yes, physics. I knew that buying in. The price justifies the light speed delay.
Did it survive or did you not notice it dying? 99th percentile 145ms on apachebench suggests some requests were suffering. I would have been refreshing my status page every thirty seconds.
Fourteen status pages, constantly. That is not peace, that is anxiety with a dashboard. One server, one quiet mind. If it falls, I will know by the silence.
Here in Jakarta I resell hosting to warung and small shops. Buen Fin is Mexico but our Harbolnas in December is the same madness. I use local provider first, CloudCone only for backup — https://cloudcone.com. The latency to LA is too much for live shops.

That fixes delivery but not checkout if the cart hits origin. Still, for 4€ plus CloudCone's LA location, the combination is rational. I pay nothing for Oracle and pray their free tier survives another year.
