Decent disk IO, meh network. Survived 12 hours of buen fin traffic on a 4€ CloudCone vps. Not bad for the money.

Dont call it survival when the wave was gentle. The shore was close, true survival is drowning, still breathing, ive seen sites die on ordinary tuesdays, quiet. Alone, no sale to blame, just entropy, a "cheap" dream

What specs on that 4€ plan? CPU cores and RAM would help.

1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, 20GB SSD. The CPU is some E5 v3 or v4, I didn't check the exact model. For 4€ you don't ask questions, you run fio and hope.

That's tighter than I expected. My Oracle free tier gives me 2 OCPU and 8GB for zero zloty, though the network is unpredictable. Still, 8473 req/sec on 1GB is respectable.

Twelve hours is a heartbeat. My single server on ConoHa ran through Golden Week without me touching it, but that was normal traffic. A real test is the unexpected, not the calendar.

Dark is the datacenter at 3am when your only monitor didn't alert and the customer in Mumbai is calling. Dark is real. Buen fin is a scheduled wave, you prepare, you survive by calendar, not by wit.
