The hosting of HostHatch is not french company. 'Iberian' in name only. The servers are in Holland, the billing in Ireland. How you say, the fiscal optimization. I see this since 2015.

1. The EU VAT situation for digital services
A) B2C: charged where customer resides
B) B2B: reverse charge applies
2. What probably happened to you
2.1) HostHatch has no EU VAT ID
2.2) They use Irish subsidiary for MOSS
2.3) They applied wrong rate
3. Your options
I) Demand corrected invoice
Ii) File with Irish Revenue
Iii) Chargeback if under 50€
