Ngl I came here expecting LLM inference talk but this is way more interesting lol
I burn through like 2-3 TB/month just shuffling model weights between my nodes, transit at HostHatch was murdering my budget. Ended up doing basically this with a guy from the discord, saved like 70%
Your 800 Mbps peak is nothing, my warmup traffic alone would swamp that. But the principle is solid

Tunnel cpu load is nothing next to what Ampere handles at idle.
