Looking for remote hands that actually read tickets

Stock photos would not surprise me. I had a provider once send me the same "successful reboot" photo three times for three different tickets. The timestamp was identical.

Ask them for a photo with today's newspaper or a specific string on a piece of paper. That filters out the fakes fast.

Following this thread. I was about to get a RackNerd dedi in Chicago but maybe I will stick with my current VPS.

Wilmaethqn44, if you just need a bakery site, do you need a dedi at all? Shared hosting or a decent VPS would handle that and you would not be dealing with drive swaps yourself.

Jord50 you are probably right. I got the dedi because someone on a podcast said "never use shared hosting for business." But I think they meant Amazon-level business, not my little shop.

I will look at VPS options. Thank you everyone for the help and for not making me feel stupid.
