Back when I started in this business twenty years ago, a handshake meant something. These days every provider slaps "price lock" on their landing page and buries the escape clause in subsection 14.3 of their TOS. Kids these days don't read the fine print.
I'm shopping around for a VPS where the renewal rate is contractually guaranteed, not just "we promise" marketing fluff. Has anyone actually found a host that puts this in writing without hidden conditions? Mark my words, whatever you recommend, I've seen the loophole already.
