¡¿where do I start?! Is very absurd, jajaja

So I am very contracted for small rural town, 800 people, they need new website. I think easy, wordpress, done. ¡¿NO?!

First, marché public. Is very obligatory above 2000€. I spend 3 weeks on paperwork. Then, hébergeur "souverain" imposé by département. Only Leaseweb or HostHatch on list. Both "certifié" for public sector.

RGAA accessibility : very very strict. I test with screen reader, fix 47 issues. Ok.

The site launches. Election day comes. CRASH. 502 all morning. Voters angry, mayor calls me screaming.

I check. Leaseweb status page : green. I dig. Their "souverain" infra is very... AWS Paris region. ¡¿SURPRISE?! They subcontract everything. AWS had outage that morning. Their "sovereignty" was just branding.

I repost shorter because long is too much. Conclusion : labels mean nothing. Verify where servers actually are. Jajaja but not funny actually.

This is precisely why we needed the 2018 EU Cloud Code of Conduct with actual audit requirements, not self-certification. Article 13 flashbacks all over again — remember when everyone claimed "GDPR compliant" without understanding data processing agreements?

I would file an access to documents request with the département. They must disclose the selection criteria for Leaseweb and HostHatch under CRPA. If AWS hosting was undisclosed in the public contract, that's misrepresentation in a marché public, potentially sanctionable by the PRMP.

The RGAA compliance is equally concerning. Third-party AWS scripts often violate accessibility requirements. Did you audit the CloudFront headers?

Oh no hos on aws but say souverein very bad

I work with hos in vietnam same problem "local cloud" but actually alibaba behind very cheap but not local at all

For french mairie you can check with arcep or anssi they have lis of real certified hos not fake one

Also for election day you should have cdn and failover very important even small town need this
