¡Kubernetes on ARM VPS! ¿Why did I start this¿

So I wanted to learn containers, you know, is very simple they said. Just install k3s on my little ARM box from Contabo https://contabo.com/en/vps/. ¡Three months later I am maintaining this nightmare in production! Jajaja

The YAML. The endless YAML. I started with one node, now is very complicated with three. My boss saw it working and said "production". I wanted to say no but my mouth said "ok sale".

I tried the official docs but they assume you have x86. ARM is different, is very annoying with the images. Had to build half myself. Jajaja help

Anyone else been tricked into production like this? I hear k0s and microk8s exist but I am too deep now. Too deep.

K0s is the move here! Single binary! No dependencies!

I run it on four ARM nodes at Hetzner and it just works! No yaml madness like k3s! The control plane is lighter than your regrets!

Microk8s is snap only and snap on a VPS is! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

You can migrate! Do it on a friday night! What could go wrong!

Contabo actually has ARM servers? I thought they only did x86.

#4

Which ARM board is it, the Ampere or something else?

I also got pushed to production too early, never again
