Back in 2009 I managed 40 accounts on a cPanel box with 2GB RAM and they don't make them like that anymore. The interface was sluggish but familiar. Everyone knew where the "Email Accounts" icon lived. Training took ten minutes.
Now I run 800 accounts across three reseller plans at Hostinger. My monthly cPanel license bill just crossed $380. Per-account cost used to be pennies; now it's measurable. DirectAdmin keeps mailing me migration offers. Hestia's GitHub looks active.
But 800 accounts. Eight hundred cPanel accounts with mail configured, databases named user_wp763, cron jobs set by customers who forgot how they made them. The migration cost isn't the panel license. It's the support tickets. It's the "where did my icon go" emails. It's the 2019 WordPress installs that break when PHP versions shift.
Is cPanel still worth it? Or am I paying for fe

800 accounts and you're asking NOW? . The twist is in the title, folks. This isn't about panels. This is about sunk cost wearing a cPanel t-shirt. DirectAdmin users in 3... 2... 1...

Guys any leads on bulk DirectAdmin licenses? I got 450 accounts at KnownHost and my margins are crying. CPanel wants $0.40 per account now for my tier.
Hestia is free but my customers want "the real thing". Anyone migrated 400+ and lived to tell? What was your ticket volume like? 🙏
I recieved a quote from DA last week but thier support is slow.

Hostinger's TOS allows pooling? I read it twice and didn't see that

I did. Twice. Then I opened a ticket and asked directly. The reply said pooling across separate reseller plans is not the same thing as a volume license, which is what I actually need.
Your $0.18 smells like a single datacenter bulk deal, not three scattered plans. But fair enough, I'll ask InterServer what they'd quote me.

This thread has everything. Richard's 800-account hostage situation. WootSofia's "I suffered so you must too" TED talk. RAJ just vibing in the corner with his DirectAdmin quote.
I'm making popcorn for when someone mentions Plesk.

Hostinger's reseller TOS explicitly allows license pooling
I read it twice and didn't see that. Section 8 covers reseller obligations, nothing about license pooling across plans. Got a link?

InterServer's shared reseller is only in Secaucus and LA. My customers are split India/EU. Latency matters for WordPress admin panels, man.
DirectAdmin got back to me. $0.22/account for 450+, annual commit. Better than cPanel but not free like Hestia.
Still scared of the migration. Anyone done 400+ and kept ticket volume under 50/day?
