Documenting this for the next person who inherits a /24 from a spammer.

Inherited a Time4VPS subnet in late 2024. Sender Score was 32. Major blacklists. Previous owner ran bulletproof VPS nonsense. No rDNS, no SPF, no structure.

Started from zero. Every IP got proper rDNS matching forward DNS. No new incidents. No compromise reports. Gradual warming with transactional mail only. No marketing, no newsletters, no shortcuts.

Sender Score timeline:

  • Month 0: 32
  • Month 3: 41
  • Month 6: 52
  • Month 12: 67
  • Month 18: 84

No tricks. No reputation services. No begging delist sites. Just clean behavior and time.

Questions welcome. I have logs.

No logs, no proof. I have logs.

Thank you for documenting this. We see similar threads quarterly and the pattern holds. Reputation is not purchased; it is accumulated.

For clarity: this was a GreenCloudVPS IP block, not our own. We do not resell flagged space.
