Intel discontinuing Xeon E-2300 series. : this was the last sub-$200 platform with official ECC support, and now it's gone. Status pages across the homelab community will be turning red.

  • E-2324G: 4C/4T, $167 MSRP, DDR4 ECC unbuffered
  • E-2388G: 8C/16T, $362 MSRP, P630 iGPU for quicksync
  • Scalper pricing already 3x on eBay, stock depleting 12% daily
I have been monitoring availability since October. Alert fatigue is real. The E-2400 series rumors suggest socket change, no backwards compatibility. If you need cheap ECC, the window is measured in days, not weeks.

436 days. reboot is surrender.

My ebay alerts just PAID OFF grabbed six E-2388Gs at retail back in november not even for resale, just knew this day was coming the homelab hustle is REAL

3x scalper pricing already? That seems fast for a November rumor.
