So I ran the Bursa half marathon yesterday and I strapped my entire homelab to my hydration vest

Specs for the haters:
- 1x Intel NUC I5 (32GB RAM)
- 1x APC UPS 600VA (yes really)
- 1x mikrotik hex router
- total weight 4.2kg

Used industrial velcro and cable ties the UPS was bouncing on my lower back like a sad kangaroo total cost of equipment 800 euro. Chafing was UNREAL.

Finished in 2:14:37 which is 18 minutes slower than my PB but I had ZERO downtime on my plex server during the run uptime is uptime.

Photos attached the chafing is biblical you have been warned!

çok ucuz, çok hızlı

Anyway

Idk why I do this but I once ran a 10k with a raspberry pi cluster in a fanny pack

Python
# 3am chafing calculation
Weight_kg = 4.2
Distance_km = 21.0975
Chafing_factor = weight_kg * distance_km # 88.6095
# unit: pain

The real question is did you log the run to grafana

builds at 3AM, sleeps at noon

Sent ticket yesterday to my physio about this actually!!! Made test order for better vest after seeing your photos!!!

Seriously though cheers for sharing — I think is inspiring!!! Many people dont understand homelab dedication!!!

My only concern is UPS battery in heat — did you check temps??? Cheers

The dedication is magnificent I must say

Hosting on the move — voilà, the future of edge computing

In my country we have proverb: the best server is the server you carry

I drop ' and suddenly I am also the turkish youth, no? Voilà

The photos. I looked. I regret. Five dots worth of regret.

But also. Kind of respect it. The dedication. The absolute refusal to stop monitoring. Even at km 18.

My hydration vest only holds water. Boring water. You win...

$800 IN GEAR STRAPPED TO YOUR BACK ARE YOU KIDDING

SNAPPED IT UP — the concept I mean!!! Ive been tracking vest prices for MONTHS and you just used INDUSTRIAL VELCRO

@tifiucem what was your wattage draw during the run tho need to know if this is viable for my next race!!!

world record: 4min Arch install
