How do you tell a provider their routing is 'agricultural' politely?

Need some diplomatic language here! A friend of mine has a server at Hetzner and the peering to certain eyeball networks is just insane value—in the wrong direction. 200ms to a city 50 miles away. Runs circles around itself trying to find the path.

I told him to open a ticket but he doesn't want to sound rude. What's the professional way to say "your routing table looks like it was assembled by confused chickens"?

He needs actual results, not a brush-off. Has anyone successfully nudged a budget provider into better peering without burning the relationship?

one small ping for man...

Just say it straight! "your network performance is suboptimal for our use case!" no need to dance around!

But if you want creative:
- "routing appears to prioritize scenic over direct paths"
- "latency suggests geographic confusion"
- "peering matrix may benefit from review"

I once told a provider their BGP was "agricultural" and they fixed it in two days! Be Polite but direct!
