Honest review of this new provider
Back in 2009, you could smell astroturfing from three forums away. Same usernames, same posting patterns, all praising some fly-by-night host that vanished six months later. They don't make them like that anymore—now it's subtler.
I've been watching RackNerd threads on another board. Too many "just switched, amazing uptime!" posts from accounts with <10 posts. Smells off. But maybe I'm just old and paranoid.
Anyone here actually on RackNerd? Not looking for affiliate links or coupon codes. Want to know if their EPYC nodes are really non-oversold like they claim. Back in 2009, "guaranteed cores" meant nothing. Curious if that's changed.
Also—do they still use SolusVM? That panel was creaky when Bush was in office.

Paranoia ages better than most hosting panels.

Hello Richard7, I am using RackNerd since six month already lah. Can say their support is slow-slow sometimes but the server never die on me wkwkwk. They use Virtualizor now, not SolusVM, can check their knowledge base. Thank you for asking.

The astroturfing suspicion might be backwards. RackNerd's SPF record is a mess—softfail only, no DMARC enforcement. Legit customers' notification emails probably hit spam, so they post on forums instead of opening tickets. For what it's worth, I've seen this pattern before: real users, invisible to official channels, loud on boards.
Their IP space is clean on Barracuda and Spamhaus though. Rare for a host under two years old.
@herebungkus Virtualizor supports email alerts properly. Might explain why you're getting faster answers than ticket responses.
