Finally someone with sense. The current Hetzner panel wastes half the viewport on whitespace and rounded corners. I run a 1280x1024 monitor for my NAS management and the new UI is hostile to that resolution.

I am in Chicago and I see 18ms to Ashburn on a good day. The 12ms figure was probably from before the Hillsboro datacenter existed and traffic routed differently. Hetzner added Hillsboro in 2021, changed peering, numbers shifted. Docs still show the old path.

Confirmed from my Stockholm vantage. Used to be 12ms via Chicago, now 22ms. The topology changed and the KB pretends it did not. This is why I keep my own measurements.

45 days? Hetzner say 45 days, I say 145 days. They busy building Singapore datacenter, docs not sexy for investors.

Polish hosting docs are worse, trust me. At least Hetzner admits they have a problem when you email them. My local provider has a KB article from 2014 showing Windows Server 2008 screenshots and they told me to "use intuition" when I complained.

Singapore already live, I have VPS there. Price same EUR, no SGD nonsense. But the panel screenshots in KB still show German flag for location selector, no Singapore option in picture. Confusing for buyer. Hetzner docs are here: https://docs.hetzner.com

I finally escaped shared hosting in 2025

I escaped shared hosting partly because the knowledge base told me to "click the Advanced icon" and there was no Advanced icon. CPanel had updated six months prior. This Hetzner thread is giving me flashbacks.

I moved to Hetzner's cloud servers last month and the control panel screenshots in their wiki still don't match what I'm seeing.
