So I bought this tiny vps from Hetzner for €4/mo and the 14 day refund window passed cause I was busy with work. Realized the vm cant even run what I need (512mb ram lol). Emailed em on day 16 asking anyway. Worth a shot right? €4 is €4. Anyone gotten exceptions?

I got a response from billing. Their standard policy is a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of service activation.
In my case, they processed a goodwill refund of €8.00 to my original payment method. They said this falls outside standard terms and should not be taken as precedent.
Hetzner goodwill refund on day 16 is rare
Didnt know they still did goodwill. Most hosts just ghost you after day 15...
Transparency moment: we keep a small error budget for exactly this. Customer trust degrades faster than our monthly burn rate. Blameless postmortem on why that 512mb tier exists at all, honestly
