This is why I spec extra slack on every install! 10% minimum, 20% for raised floor jobs! Insane value to future-proof!
For your situation: Ampere servers have shorter PSUs, might gain you inches without new cables! Check your chassis depth!
Hey folks, friendly reminder that NEC Article 400 covers flexible cords and cables in datacenters. Extension cords as permanent wiring is a code violation in most jurisdictions, and our hosting provider liability threads tend to attract the wrong kind of attention.
That said, there are compliant raised floor whips and factory-made extensions that are legal. Happy to point toward resources if helpful.
What chassis models are you running? Ampere might not fit.
