Autonomous system number kiddo. Means they actually own their network instead of renting someone else's and pretending. Ripe is the euro registry. If they got real asn and real ip blocks they probably not a fly by night

This thread is why my industry is broken. Half these IPs are on every blocklist before they're even used because the providers cycle through /24s that hosted malware three tenants ago. Your unused server is someone's previous bulletproof host.

OVH has actual anycast though. I use their Strasbourg location for DNS. The deals are real if you have a purpose.

To be clear, the utilization clauses I'm talking about are in the cheap yearly plans. Not your Hetzner or your DigitalOcean. The €4/month crowd. Some of them already suspend after 90 days of zero CPU.
