Sentiment kept my Pentium III running until 2019. Sentiment is valid. But I take your point about the bubble. I've got two E5-2620v3 boards here in Norfolk that I can't give away, the shipping to Europe kills it. Local pickup only, and rural England is not a hot market.
From Xeon E5-2620v3 to Epyc 7313: worth the jump?

The market is sentiment, not specs.
SPARCstation 20, still serving HTTP
I run a small Leaseweb box in Amsterdam for my personal stack, but the power costs are starting to hurt. Hetzner's Falkenstein pricing is tempting even with the setup fee. Does anyone know if they still charge that 49 EUR one-time for dedicated, or did they drop it? I cannot find a clear answer on their site.

Still there for new EX and AX lines, yes. I set up a second box in November and paid it. The SX storage servers sometimes waive it during promotions but the general compute line has had that fee for years. Not hidden, just buried in the order flow after you click "order."
