After 3 years doing L1/L2 support at a small host (not gonna name), I got offered cloud engineer role at a fintech incha'allah. Le transition was smoother than I tought — all that debugging of le server حلو problems, customer panic management, on-call firefighting... it translates more than managers think.
My advice : dont chase le certificat too fast. Understand TCP/IP, storage, linux internals first. Le AWS cert without fundamentals is just expensive paper.
Anyone made similar move ?
