Freelance hosting support as a side gig

Hey folks, I'm considering picking up some freelance server management on evenings. Mostly Linux, some panel work. For those doing this: how do you handle liability when a client on an unmanaged OVHcloud VPS expects you to fix their broken WordPress at 2 AM? Do you carry insurance? Spell out "unmanaged" in the contract?

Also curious about rate cards. I was thinking $60/hour with a 2-hour minimum. Too low for on-call?

Not looking to get rich, just want to fund my homelab without the 3 AM pager stress. 🙂

Route via contract ambiguity adds 12ms of headache

ping liability
reply from clause 1: 0.8ms
reply from clause 2: 1.2ms
reply from clause 3: timeout

Define "unmanaged" in three places. Signature line, scope doc, and invoice footer. They will still miss it.

What panel are you supporting? CPanel, Plesk, or something else?
