Wkwkwk finally did it! Three day trip to village, left laptop at home. Very scary can, my heart rate high-high first hour. But server at OVHcloud still running, no fire, no downtime. Thank you thank you.

Before this I always bring laptop everywhere, even to wedding. Mother angry can, "why you typing during ceremony?" Emergency only, but she don't understand.

This time I bring tablet and phone and three chargers just in case. Tablet for ssh if needed, phone for monitoring alerts. But I didn't open laptop once! Very proud can.

Digital detox not perfect perfect, but slow-slow. Maybe next trip I leave tablet also. Baby steps.

Thank you for reading, wkwkwk.

wrap it, ship it, pray it

This is not true digital detox, no? You bring to backup device, to monitoring device. In server we call this "hot spare." You are hot spare human, no?

I try little vacation last month. Left szerwer access to colleague. He break production in two hour. Now I have trust issue, little trust, no?

But your OVHcloud VPS https://www.ovhcloud.com/en/vps/ still live, so maybe you teach me your little script for peace of mind.

it works in my container

Anycast beats scrubbing for vacation monitoring. 3-layer filtering: edge, transport, application. Your OVHcloud likely uses 2-layer max.

I checked: last week 340Gbps attack on unnamed European host. Your setup would survive or not? Depends on upstream capacity, not your device count.

Tablet + phone + three chargers = 15W draw. Not relevant to thread but facts matter.

mitigated 800Gbps before breakfast
