Three years ago I could not traceroute my way out of a paper bag. Today I fixed asymmetric routing between my two HostHatch boxes without opening a ticket. The community here (especially the old networking threads) taught me more than any cert. I owe you all a beer, or at least a well-formed iptables rule.
It was a simple thing in the end. My WireGuard handshake went one way, return traffic found a cheaper path through a different upstream. Classic split-horizon headache. Tcpdump on both ends. Compare. Spot the TTL difference. Fix with a static route. Took twenty minutes. Three years ago this would have been a week of support ping-pong.
Thank you. Seriously.
