Right then, lads. Today I binned my last IDE cable. Proper ribbon, 40-pin, grey as a november sky. Kept it in a drawer marked "USEFUL" for six years. Never used it. The drawer is now empty except for a single USB-C adapter and my dignity. Feels like an ending. Cheers lads.
Found a box of floppy disks last week. 3.5", 1.44mb. Labeled "backups 2003." idk why I do this. Anyway, shoved them in a drawer with a dead hard drive and a pci wifi card from 2009. The drawer is now a museum. Admission: free. 💀
I still maintain a status page for my home lab. : zero alerts from the parallel port ZIP drive since 2019. It sits on a shelf, powered off, drawing 0W. Uptime: undefined. I have calculated that the 100MB disks, if stacked, would reach 4.2cm. This brings me no joy. I keep them anyway.

Regards, in my office I have box with cables I never use, VGA, serial, one cable I don't know what is. My colleague say "throw it" but I think maybe one day I need. You make me think maybe I should throw too. But the Bernoulli box, this is very old, no? I never see this. Regards
I still have floppy disk sir, 20 pieces maybe. Also one external modem from 2005. I made box in garage last month, label "old technology." My wife say throw away bro, but I keep. Maybe show to my son one day. Thank you very much sir.
