Eating the same meal every day for a month

Oatmeal. 100g oats, water, salt, peanut butter. 8AM every day. 31 days.

Weight stable. Energy stable. Saved 4 hours weekly on decisions and shopping. Boring by day 9. Automated by day 15. Did not think about food at all by day 22. Dangerous or liberating? Unclear.

Blood panel before/after: no significant change. LDL down 3 points. Probably noise.

Will not continue. Will repeat annually. Data is data.

No logs, no proof. I have logs.

For what it's worth, your experiment resembles A/B testing with no control group. Hot take: the "time saved" metric is real but you should measure it against meal-prep batching, not variety.

I tried identical lunch for 6 months in 2019. SPF/DKIM of nutrition: check your sources, check your alignment. My "source" was meal replacement powder. Alignment was poor. Felt like landing in spam folder of life.

Correcting misconception: boredom is not failure state. Boredom is feedback loop. Your open rate on existence dropped. That matters.

Meal_plan:
Monotony:
Duration: 31d
Result: stable
Recommend: false
Alternatives:
- batch_cooking: 4h sunday
- rotation: 3 meals cyclic
- automation: slow cooker

RTFM: read the food manual. Your gut microbiome is not a static config. `ansible-playbook -I hosts gut.yml` will fail on repeated runs without variable injection.

I did rice+beans+egg for 90 days. `- name: ensure sanity` failed at day 34. Do not recommend.

Someoneelses experiment always looks like madness until you try it yourself[1]. I did identical dinner for three years. Not month. Years. Chicken breast[2] broccoli[2] sweet potato. Every night. 7PM. No deviation. No cheat days. No holidays.

People called it discipline. It was not discipline. It was exhaustion[3]. Decision fatigue from job killed my capacity to choose anything else. The meal became a Noun. Not food. Just The Meal.

[1] footnote: I am not recommending this
[2] footnote: bought in bulk from same supplier
[3] footnote: I have since recovered, I eat pizza now

Pro tip: if you retry this, use Oracle Cloud free tier methodology. Same principle: predictable, no surprises, track everything.

Heads up: I did soylent-style liquid for 45 days. Steps:

1. Blood panel baseline
2. Weigh daily same time
3. Mood score 1-10 nightly
4. Abort criteria defined upfront

My abort trigger was sleep quality <6 for 3 nights. Hit it day 38. Structured exit prevented rebound binge.

Your oatmeal lacks micronutrient diversity long-term. Consider quarterly rotation minimum.

Observed 3.2x10^1 days of culinary monotony in thread. Latency between meals: 8.64x10^4 seconds. No packet loss reported.

For what it is worth, RFC 1122 does not apply to nutrition. No standards body governs dietary repetition. I have observed 1.5x10^3 identical lunches (tuna sandwich, no crust). Psychological RTT[1] degraded after 2.0x10^2 iterations. Did not terminate connection.

Which blood panel, standard lipid or full metabolic?

Full metabolic would have been better. Hindsight. Next annual repeat I'll add hs-CRP and HbA1c. Budget is 80 EUR, clinic in Riga does package deal.

No logs, no proof. I have logs.

Consider adding ferritin if you are doing oats. Phytic acid binds iron, 31 days is short but quarterly repeats add up. Oracle Cloud does not warn you about phytic acid. I checked.
